The Energy Management System and 50001 Ready Introduction Training Materials are designed to introduce participants to an energy management system based upon ISO 50001 and the concepts, structure, and features of the 50001 Ready Navigator. After receiving the training, participants should be able to explain to others what the 50001 Ready Navigator is and make an informed decision on the approach for implementation at their organization.

This presentation briefly introduces the fundamental concepts of an energy management system and the resources available in the 50001 Ready Navigator.

This presentation also highlights the 50001 Ready Navigator’s Partner Platform, a cohort management functionality that supports utility-scale 50001 Ready programs.

This training teaches multi-site project teams (enterprise energy teams) the fundamentals of an ISO 50001 based energy management system and the 50001 Ready Navigator, including an overview of its 25 tasks. Participants also learn how to define the multi-site team role relative to the site-level energy team role.
Audience: Central office teams who will support 50001 Ready implementation across a number of sites within their organization

50001 Ready Task Education Materials

The 50001 Ready Task Education Materials focus on introducing various audiences to the details of the 50001 Ready Navigator 25 tasks. Implementation of a 50001 Ready energy management system is not necessarily the intended outcome of the training, but rather familiarity and knowledge of 50001 Ready. The information contained in this training can be passed on to others or used to manage an energy efficiency program that makes use of 50001 Ready.

This 2-day training teaches the ins and outs of the 50001 Ready Navigator to individuals such as utility energy efficiency staff and their contracted program implementers to train end-use customers from all sectors. The intent of this training is to ensure future trainers are prepared to answer customer questions regarding the ISO 50001 standard and 50001 Ready tasks.
Audience: Utility energy efficiency program managers and program implementers
Duration: Approximately 16 hours (2, 8 hour days), plus approximately 30 minutes for pre-training webinar
Materials: 2 sets of slides of approximately 120 slides each, Pre-Training Webinar of 30 slides, and associated speakers notes

This 2-day training with a focus on the manufacturing sector, teaches energy managers how to implement the 25 tasks of 50001 Ready using the 50001 Ready Navigator. Participants will understand the tasks and how to get started implementing all elements of an EnMS.
Audience: Energy team leaders and members who plan to lead 50001 Ready implementation at their manufacturing site
Duration: Approximately 16 hours (2, 8 hour days), plus 30 minutes for pre-training webinar

50001 Ready Implementation Materials

The 50001 Ready Implementation Materials aim to prepare participants to bring the concepts of an ISO 50001 based energy management system into practice.

This 7-session training teaches energy managers how to implement the 25 tasks of 50001 Ready using the 50001 Ready Navigator. Participants will gain a better understanding of the tasks and learn how to get started implementing all elements of an EnMS.
Audience: Energy team leaders and members who will lead 50001 Ready implementation at their site(s)
Duration: Approximately 14 hours (2 hours each)
Materials: 7 sets of approximately 60 slides each and speakers notes

This 7-session training teaches Federal energy managers how to implement the 25 tasks of 50001 Ready using the 50001 Ready Navigator. Participants will gain a more thorough understanding of the tasks and learn how to get started implementing all elements of an EnMS.
Audience: Federal energy team leaders and members who plan to lead 50001 Ready implementation at their site(s)
Duration: Approximately 14 hours (2 hours each)
Materials: 7 sets of approximately 70 slides each and speakers notes
